The ridges and high mountains of Snowdonia
- Tackle the Snowdon horseshoe, including crib Goch, Gamedd Ugain, Snowdon and Y Lliwedd. An exhilarating day out involving some grade one scrambling, fine ridges and three great summits.
- Tryfan and the Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. A superb day out walking up the granite peaks of the Glyders above the Ogwen Valley. This route is a strenuous day of walking which includes Try fan (915m) one of Wales’ most distinctive peaks with some scrambling to reach the summit, Glyder Fach (994m) with it’s Cantilever Stone, and the rocky peak of Glyder Fawr (999m) the highest of the Glyderau mountains.
- The Cameddau. Walking in the highest plateau area outside Scotland, this route is more isolated and provides some outstanding views of northern Snowdonia, taking in Pen Yr Ole Wen (978m), Carnedd Llywellen (1064m)and Carnedd Dafydd (1044m).
- Cadair Idris. The highest mountain range in Mid Wales. A stunning circular walk to Pen-y-Gadair, the highest point, on well established paths. From the top this route provides stunning views to the coast and hills of Northern Snowdonia.
Choosing two of the above routes, this weekend is 2 full days of walking taking in some of the spectacular highs of the mountains of Snowdonia. This weekend can be tailored to your own ability and aspirations for the walks with options of routes suitable for the beginner to the more experienced hill walker. Accommodation can be arranged to suit all budgets from bunkhouse to hotel.
Prices: Price includes 2 days of guided walking and 1 night's accommodation. Accomodation in Snowdonia varies with seasonal demand and location. Hence the prices below are indicative only and subject to confirmation. Participants are welcome to arrange their own accomodation in which case day rates only apply.
