Guided Walk: Snowdon Horseshoe

The Snowdon Horsehoe is a challenging ridge walk over interesting terrain offering fantastic scrambling, beautiful views and incredible exposure.

The route takes us up the exposed ridge of Crib Goch (red ridge) where we traverse the knife-edge arrete across to Garnedd Ugain. We then ascend up to the summit of Snowdon itself at 1085m and then continue across the quieter ridge over to Y Lliwedd.

This circuit is a must-do challenge for people with previous hill-walking experience and a head for heights. It is one of the best ridge walks in Snowdonia and a great a challenge to take on.

The route normally takes between 6-8 hours to complete -a very satisfying and exhilarating day out in the mountains.

 

We provide day  tours of the Snowdon horseshoe throughout the year according to demand, with the following days earmarked for the activity.
