Morocco is one of our favourite places. All our tours begin from Marrakech, where you will meet the Great Adventures guide from the UK, who will accompany you from start to finish, and our local Moroccan facilitator, Hassan.

We have designed each tour to take you on an amazing journey that you will never forget. One that will put you right at the heart of North Africa's highest mountain range in the company of people who know the area and will provide for your safety and comfort in an environment, which though harsh, must rank amongst the most beautiful and impressive in the world.

You will be walking through remote valleys with mules to carry your kit (and camping equipment should that be part of your tour). You will cross high passes where new vistas suddenly reveal themselves. And you will watch the scenary slowly transform as you walk along narrow tracks below towering mountain sides. You will also have the opportunity to climb to over 4000m to reach the summit of Jbel Toubkal (Mount Toubkal) - the highest mountain in the High Atlas range and north Africa..

Tours from 6 to 8 days.

1) Climb Jbel Toubkal (4167m) - 6days

If climbing the highest mountain in the region is your passion then you may find the 6 day excursion to Jbel Toubkal to be just what you want. This tour involves 2 nights in the Neltner French Apline Club's "refuge" (ht 3207m) below the mountain, a night in a rural guest house in the foothills of the Atlas, and 2 nights in Marrakech (on arriving and before departure). This also includes the opportunity to spend a little time exploring Marrakech.

2) Tour of Toubkal South. - 8 days

There are various routes to follow on this slightly longer trek that involves some nights under canvas and takes in a visit to the remote Lake Infini. Whichever route we take, we plan for the opportunity to climb Toubkal on day 7 - allowing you good time to acclimatize to the high altitude. Time also included for exploring Marrakech.

3) More high peaks - 8 days

This 8 day tour based around the Neltner French Apline Club's "refuge" (ht 3207m) provides the opportunity to climb several of the 4000m peaks in the viccinity - including of course, Jbel Toubkal. Time also included for exploring Marrakech.
